MICROPHONES:

AKG D-12E
vintage cardioid dynamic (seventies)

This is the "Export" version of the standard D12 microphone, originally designed for bass drums and bass guitar amplifiers. The "E" version utilizes a standard XLR connector instead of a permanently-installed cable. Extended low-frequency makes it useful in bass drums and bass guitars, although it can sound a bit "boxy" in the low-mid frequencies. Works exceptionally well on electric guitar amplifiers exhibiting lots of low-frequency content, such as distorted baritone guitars.
